Palliative Pain And Symptom Control
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with serious illness providing relief from the symptoms and the stress of the illness The goal is to provide relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness.
My goal is to improve the client’s quality of life by
- reviewing current pain medications and ensuring they are given appropriately
- recommending medications for additional symptoms being experienced by the client
- maintaining the highest level of comfort possible at this stage of the client’s illness
